SCHOLAR'S PLIGHT

Scholar’s Plight offers tutoring services for primary and high school learners throughout South Africa. Due to COVID-19, they've been working exclusively online but hope to offer in-person sessions again soon.

The owner, Dillyn’s philosophy is that education is a tool that can drive large-scale social change; and that learners should feel safe to express their learning needs and pursue their dreams. The education system should provide each learner with personalised support that suits their learning style.

Dillyn had only two requests; that a broken pencil icon is used to represent the frustration of all parties in the current education system in South Africa. He also requested that pink and blue be incorporated into the colour palette.
